Brass Pelican Restaurant in Benton

Almost walked out before someone finally came and told us to pick any table. In their defense.. Everyone else in the place must of come in at the same time. After that, the service was great. Food was pretty good. Cash only place, no cards.

Sadly this restaurant is closing it's doors in June. Loved the food and the family that ran it.

This place is okay. I went there on high recommendations from my in-laws, so i thought it was something special. Not so much. I ordered the special- a hawiian omelete, i always like to try something new. It was new alright; there was a nice black hair right on top. The server did bring a new one, but that one was so greasy it was almost inedible. If i wasnt so hungry, i probably would have left it! Save your money folks. Won't be going back there.

Great service, good prices, and generous serving sizes. Don't order the mozzarella sticks. They serve them with cocktail sauce - unless it's Wednesday... They have tomato sauce on Wednesday. 😂

Found this little place in the middle of nowhere while on the way to Ricketts Glen State Park. Great quality, friendly staff. Loved the pancakes. Very happy we stopped here.

Always a great place for breakfast or any meal. I had one of the breakfast specials today (spinach omelet with bacon, tomatoes, and feta cheese and it was delicious). The food is always very good with large portions and great prices. Worth the trip to the middle of nowhere!

The breakfast here is one of the big reasons my wife and I make the three hour trek to spend long weekends in this area yearly. The buckwheat sourdough pancakes, homefries, and homemade sausage are one of my very favorite breakfasts, period.

Delicious food not overpriced had the apple pie pancaked to die for!

Classic diner experience - quality food for a low price

Took granddaughter for her first visit. She was very impressed with food and portions of food. Food was excellent as always.

Great quality, friendly staff. Little place in the middle of nowhere. My boyfriend and I got a breakfast platter with 3 huge pancakes. 2 eggs, toast, home fries and a coffee. Lots of food for $10. Very happy we stopped here.

If you like REAL Sour Buckwheat pancakes and Sausage Gravy on home fries this is the only place to go! Delicious!

Buckwheat cakes, scrapple, and sausage gravy. I'd love to eat like this everyday. With out the unhealthy (but yummy) meat products it would be great if I could.Sour dough buckwheat cakes have become too rare. So happy the Brass Pelican makes them! Wish I lived closer.

Brass Pelican is trapped in time, this isn't actually bad thing though in this instance. If you should be in the Rickett's Glen State Park area, do yourself a favour, seek this place out and order you some home cooking in a cozy/casual setting. thanks Benton PA for the memories and the yummys, I had the honey fried chicken w mashed.
